Education and training providers in Bass Coast are working together to create the Bass Coast Education and Learning Precinct.

The Precinct’s aim is to improve post-compulsory education opportunities for youth (above 15 years) and adults (life-long learning). The Precinct will offer the local community excellence in education and training through shared facilities, resources and expertise.

The proposed site for the Precinct is in McKenzie Street, Wonthaggi. Bass Coast Specialist School is already on site, with Wonthaggi Secondary College seeking funding to move there as soon as possible.

The Steering Committee driving this project is made up of organisations that plan to have a physical or virtual presence at the Precinct and include:
