Council’s community transport service provides a bus service for eligible Home and Community Care clients who are unable to access private or public transport because they have are aged or frail or have a disability.
Our Community buses are targeted towards members of the community who are frail aged or have a disability. However, when it is not required by this target group, the buses are available for hire by local community groups within the municipality. The community bus is not available for use by for-profit organisations, commercial organisations, activity groups from commercial organisations or for commercial use by any organisation. Hiring organisations need to supply their own licenced driver.
