Australia Day Awards
Australia Day Awards recognise a person, family or community event that has made a positive contribution to the Bass Coast Community. Each year we look for outstanding people in the following categories:
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Sports Person of the Year
- Arts and Cultural Ambassador of the Year
- Environmental Ambassador of the Year
- Community Event of the Year
- Family Achievement Award (for at least two people from the same family)
The Awards are a great opportunity to acknowledge and recognise those in our community who go above and beyond the call of duty to improve the lives and lifestyles of others in Bass Coast.
Winners will be announced at the Bass Coast Shire Council Australia Day celebrations on Thursday 26 January 2012.
