Council has an important role in shaping the future of Bass Coast. Our vision for the future is clearly outlined in the Council Plan. The Plan also includes a list of tasks to help achieve this vision.

Why do we have a Council Plan?

• to measure the performance of the organisation and staff
• to provide direction for staff
• to help with decision making
• to meet the requirements of the Local Government Act

How do we prepare a Council Plan?

• consultation with staff and Councillors
• consultation with the community

The activities outlined in the Council Plan directly link to the projects in the Annual Budget. A new Council Plan must be prepared by 20 June after each Council election.

Current Plan

The 2009 - 2013 Council Plan was adopted by Council on Wednesday, 17 June 2009.

The 2010 - 2013 Strategic Resource Plan was adopted by Council on Wednesday, 16 June 2010.
