Boat Ramps
Boat ramps can be found at the following locations:
- Cape Paterson
- Corinella
- Cowes
- Flat Rocks
- Grantville
- Inverloch
- Lang Lang
- Mahers Landing
- Newhaven
- Rhyll
Some of the more basic weather/tide dependant ramps can be used free of charge. However the ramps that feature user facilities and infrastructure require payment of a fee for use.
Council manages the boat ramps at Cape Paterson, Cowes, Grantville, Inverloch, Mahers Landing, Newhaven and Rhyll.
To use one of the Cowes, Inverloch, Newhaven and Rhyll boat ramps you will need to purchase a boat ramp permit from any of Council's Customer Services Centres or other selling agencies.

Daily permits can also be purchased from machines located at each of the four Council boat ramps at Cowes, Inverloch, Newhaven and Rhyll.
Prices for permits:
Day $6.00
Month $25.00
Year $44.00
A 25 percent discount applies for people who purchase a yearly permit at Council's Customer Service Centres and who can present one of the following cards:
- Pensioner Concession Card from Centrelink
- Veterans Affairs Pensioner Concession Card
- Department of Veterans Affairs Gold Card specifying a War Widow or Totally & Permanently Incapacitated (TPI)
The money raised from the permits will be used to improve recreational boating facilities across Bass Coast. If you have any suggestions about how these funds can be used, email basscoast@basscoast.vic.gov.au.
Vehicles parked in the boat ramp car parks must have a valid permit displayed in the windscreen. Fines do apply for failing to display a permit. For more information contact Council's Environment team on 1300 BCOAST (226 278).
